We are proud and excited to announce that Nationals has been selected by U.S. Soccer to the Girls’ Development Academy starting in the fall of 2017! This program will include combined age groups of U14/15, U16/17, and U18/19 and provides our players with additional development opportunities and a pathway to the Women’s National Team.
Nationals was selected based on several strict criteria including the past performance of our teams on regional and national levels, core values, investment in facilities and players and the quality of our coaching staff. As one of only three Girls’ Academy Programs in Michigan, and 74 in the United States, Nationals will continue to provide expanding opportunities for our players’ growth, development and playing careers.
This honor and distinction would not be possible without the hard work and dedication from our players, their families, our coaches, and staff. We want to thank you for your trust, dedication and hard work to put our organization on the national stage! We also want to extend our gratitude to U.S. Soccer and recognize the faith they have shown in us to maintain the highest level of soccer training and development in our state. We look forward to partnering with U.S. Soccer and to being good stewards of the Girls’ Development Academy by fulfilling all aspects of the program’s standards.
Further announcements will be sent with more details about this exciting opportunity for our club. And, we will provide additional updates on how Nationals will implement this program going forward.
