We are excited to announce that we are welcoming a new member to the Nationals soccer family!  The players, families and staff of FC Union are joining Nationals and will be known as Nationals UFC.

The new Nationals UFC will continue with the same teams, staff, leagues, and facilities.  The merger with Nationals will offer the players more training and playing opportunities while still honoring the long-standing traditions, community focus, and leadership by Malcolm Pledge and his coaching staff.  With a shared belief in the development of youth soccer players, both on and off the field, this merger creates an enhanced competitive environment for players to continue to develop their skills and their love for the game.

As Malcolm Pledge, founder, and Director of Coaching at FC Union, prepares for the newly merged Nationals UFC, he states, “I am excited that this merger aligns two soccer clubs with a history of similar philosophies and beliefs.  I am confident that this will offer our players competitive soccer with enhanced playing opportunities and positive developmental and community experiences for our players, families, and staff for many years!”

FC Union has always had a strong foundation and belief in the camaraderie among players, coaches, and families.  This aligns well with the Nationals belief and mantra, “Achieving More Together” – which extends from the focus on players, to their families, their teams, the club, and the overall community.

As Henry Steinwascher, Nationals Director of Coaching in Oakland County looks forward to joining together, he states, “It is a great pleasure to add FC Union to the Nationals family!  FC Union has provided impressive community soccer with very successful teams and coaches, including the leadership from Malcolm Pledge.  Adding Malcolm and his staff to our Nationals team expands the wealth of knowledge that will help the overall Nationals family in the community.  We proudly welcome FC Union and look forward to all that we will offer the players, families, and staff together.”

Join the Nationals UFC family at tryouts at Boulan Park in Troy, Saturday and Sunday, June 10 & 11!  Check out our schedule and register now at UFC (nationalssoccer.com).  If you have any questions, please contact Malcolm Pledge, 248-561-7911.
