The first Nationals club camp was held during the last week of July at the beautiful and spacious Total Soccer outdoor complex in Washington Township. Though it was hot and humid for most of the week, the Nationals staff worked diligently through the heat to put on a first rate, well organized and instructive camp. Alongside college coaches from institutions across the state and surrounding tri-state area, the Nationals staff members were greeted with tremendous enthusiasm from the Oakland and Macomb area players. It was very apparent, from watching the sessions, and from listening to the college coaches, that the player pools that the Nationals house are amongst the handful of elite clubs from out the country. It was nice to see so much interest in our Nationals players. Many thanks go out to Coach Jeremy Harkins, who organizes the event, and to his assistant, Steve Corder, who manages it. We also want to thank all the coaches who participated and all the staff members who worked behind the scenes to ensure that our first club camp was a huge success. Go Nationals!
